These new disclosing tablets allow patients to see the plaque they have failed to clean from their teeth in two different colours:
New plaque is dyed RED, old plaque is dyed BLUE!
After cleaning their teeth, patients should crush one tablet between their teeth and spread it around their teeth and gums with their tongue. i-C2 tablets will stain 1-3 day old plaque bright red, while a blue stain indicates plaque that is over 3 days old. The different colour staining allows patients to easily see where decay could occur.
